Thomas Nero, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Thomas Nero M.D. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy and Religion from Columbia College, Columbia University in 1989 and his Doctorate in Medicine from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1994. He successfully completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Beth Israel Medical Center 1999, his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease in 2001 and fellowship in Interventional Cardiology in 2002. Dr. Nero is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography and Interventional Cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology
Dr. Nero is on staff at Stamford and Greenwich Hospitals. He is a member of the Critical Care Committee. He initiated the hypothermia protocol for sudden cardiac arrest currently being employed at Stamford Hospital. He has enjoyed being closely involved with a number of community groups and is the director of Hands For Life for training lay citizens bystander CPR.
Tom enjoys hiking, running, biking and swimming. He lives with his wife and son in Stamford, CT.

Anja Wagner, M.D.
Anja Wagner, M.D. earned her Doctorate in Medicine at the Free University of Berlin in 1997 and was trained in Medicine and Cardiology at Charite Hospital in Berlin, Germany. She did a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Cardiac Imaging and Cardiac MRI at Northwestern University Medical School in 2000. In 2001 Dr. Wagner joined the faculty at Duke University as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Cardiology. Dr. Wagner completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Duke University in Durham, NC and finished her fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Wagner is on staff at Stamford Hospital. She is a member of the European Society of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.
Dr. Wagner has a special interest and expertise in non-invasive imaging which includes echocardiography and nuclear cardiology as well as advanced cardiac imaging like CT and MRI. She offers her patients preventative treatment which utilizes lifestyle modifications along with medical management if needed. She is particularly interested in women’s health and invested in empowering women to achieve optimal heart health with a focus on prevention of disease.
When Dr. Wagner is not working she enjoys running, cycling and attending the opera.
